Gruess
Resi
Schluchsee, Titisee, Allerheiligen, Schauinsland, Todtmoos, Albtal
Level: Easy / New bykers can do it fast too.
Time: We left at 11:30 and were back at 17:30
(lunch and coffee included)
First stop in Brunnen for lunch
Then almost back to zurich lake (in about Vogelnest)
We decided we have time to get a coffee in Zug.
We got ice screem indeed.
Street condition: perfect almost all over except
maybe the part between Art and Schindellegi.
Still good but patched.
Max Speed: Excluding a couple of conjunctions
kilometers on the highway, where we could go at 120km/h, we reached 100Km/h on some
80km/h limit streets. This is not legal but it was
just for few couple of hundred meters.
Type and view: It is not a pass, mostly around the lakes, often nice views on the lakes and white mountains. Also part of the country side.
We were travelling with 2 bikes and 4 persons.
My longest trip in solitaria (till 2010).
Mostly highways, the stops were:
Zutich-Salzburg
Slazburg-Bratisalava
Bratislava-Zlate-Moravce
Zlate-Moravce-Graz
Graz-Pesaro
Pesaro-Zurich
It was full summer and I was happy I got a nice jacket which could work for rain and 40 degrees sun. In the nord mountains was cold but from Ferrara down was hot. I got rain too.
I payed the jacket and it did the right job.
For the way back I got a new jacket for the 40 degrees on the highway to milano. It was perfect.
I had enough space to store a bike-jacket on the
bag.
Taxes:
In Austria you pay the highway, but you can get a one week pass. Not that expensive. Switzerland is the usual 40CHF. Italy you pay by path. You can pay cash, but the fastest way was to use credit cards or maestro cards. In case of queues.
I guess that in slovacchia I didn't had the problem. But you might wanna check.
The roads are not exactly correct... they are not on mopedmap.net...
Mostly highway except: Florenz-folloca and follonica-pesaro. Both indeed panoramic and nice.
All the way done with luggages.
Main night stops: florenz, follonica, pesaro.
Did it but a bit different path for the return... gonna check it...
Zurich-Fribourg (Friends)
Fribourg-Geneve(Friends)
Geneve-Corps(Found a nice place)
Corps-Aix-enProvence(Very nice hotel)
Aix-en-Provence-Nice(Very nice bad&Breakfast)
Way Back not sure but in one shot...
The Rue Napoleon is just fantastic. I will not take any other street ever to go to south of france.
In this map some streets are missing but there is a couple of streets in the south of france which are just a dream. Check for streets on the coast with a considerable elevation.
Zürich, Schluchsee, Todtmoos, Wiesental, Wehratal, Zürich
